What can be done to narrow the gender gap in Tarrant County College’s Automotive Program and the automotive industry? This session focuses on raising awareness of the gender gap in Tarrant County College’s automotive program and the automotive industry and learning how to cultivate ideas on how to encourage more female participation. In the session, we will: • Explore the gender gap in Tarrant County College and the automotive industry as a whole. • Discuss possible solutions to narrow the gap. • Highlight some automotive companies who are working to narrow the gap. This session uses Tarrant County College's Automotive Program as an example, but participants may apply lessons learned to any program working to eliminate participation gaps.
