About the Consortium

Christine Hubbard

Christine Hubbard, PhD

Dr. Christine Hubbard has served as President of the North Texas Community College Consortium since September of 2014.

Christine earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, Master of Arts in Radio, Television, and Film, and Doctor of Philosophy in English from the University of North Texas.

Christine has more than twenty-five years of experience working in higher education. She has taught at the University of North Texas, the University of Texas at Arlington, and at four of the five campuses of Tarrant County College District.   At UTA, Christine worked as the Coordinator for Developmental Reading and Writing and then as Coordinator of Student Success Programs, which administered the Year One at UTA program and coordinated all academic support services on the UTA campus.  

Christine began her career at Tarrant County College as an adjunct instructor on the Southeast Campus, and she taught as an adjunct on the Northeast and South Campuses before joining the full-time faculty in the Northwest Campus English Department in 2002. During her time at Tarrant County College Northwest Campus, she served as president of the faculty association and as department chair for English, Reading, and Developmental Studies.  She won the Tarrant County College Chancellor’s Award for Exemplary Teaching for 2009, and she served as Achieving the Dream Campus Coordinator for the Northwest Campus. From 2011-2013, Christine served as Humanities Division Dean for the Northwest Campus, where she oversaw the Visual Arts, Communications, English, Academic Foundations, Performing Arts, Humanities, and Philosophy departments. Dr. Hubbard next served as Director of Academic Operations for the Tarrant County College District and finally as Vice President of Academic Operations for TCC Connect, the administrative unit of Tarrant County College District responsible for eLearning, Dual Credit, and Weekend College.

Dr. Hubbard has extensive experience creating and delivering professional development.  She collaborated on the creation of the Tarrant County College District New Faculty Orientation and served on the planning committee for the event 2008-2013.  She served as the Achieving the Dream Campus Coordinator for the Tarrant County College Northwest Campus, and in this role developed and led monthly campus-wide professional development events.  She was the program chair for the Community College Humanities Association national conference in 2011 and has served as co-chair and on the planning committee for the North Texas Community College Consortium Developmental Education Regional Forums from 2007-2012.

Finally, Dr. Hubbard is a product of the North Texas Community College Consortium.  Christine has actively participated in Consortium events since 2003 and is a graduate of the 2005-2006 CLARA program.

Kevin Haney

Kevin Haney, MBA

Kevin Haney currently works as the office administrator for the North Texas Community College Consortium with a focus on business operations, accounting, and website development.

Kevin earned his Associate's Degree in Accounting from Amarillo College, a Bachelor of Business Administration degree (magna cum laude) from the University of North Texas, and a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of North Texas.

Kevin's experience includes working as an accountant for Flowers Direct, LLC in Amarillo, and working as a staff accountant at a CPA firm.

Kevin has worked at UNT since October 2004. He began as an assistant to the Associate Dean of the School of Library and Information Science.  He worked 4 years as the director of the Lifelong Education @ Desktop program, a UNT project to provide online professional development programs for librarians and library staff.

Kevin joined the Consortium in 2012.

Tammy Haney

Tammy Haney

Tammy Haney works as the office administrator for the North Texas Community College Consortium, focusing on event planning and outreach.

Tammy has many years of experience in event coordination, office management, and education in her previous roles at local school districts and retail establishments.

Tammy began working for the North Texas Community College Consortium in September 2017.
