Leading from the Middle

Session Description

Have you ever sometimes felt like you are between a rock and a hard place? Let's chat. No one said it would be easy to be in the middle, but it can be very important and rewarding. Count it ALL Joy!

Session Goals

Participants in this workshop will have an increased knowledge of the competencies of effective leadership, being a supervisor rather than a boss, and how to more effectively lead up and down using emotional intelligence.

Full Description

John Maxwell suggests 99% of all leadership occurs not from the top, but from the middle of an organization. We will discuss this phenomenon after defining leadership and what core competencies are needed to be an effective leader. Interactive discussion and tips for leading from the middle are designed to equip workshop participants with knowledge and skills to lead with confidence where they are and/or while preparing for the future.
