In recent history, the field of developmental education has advanced in terms of research, scholarship, and professional development opportunities. As the field has advanced, trends in reform and research have occurred. This session will contain information about trends in the field of developmental education, recent research studies of high impact, and a discussion of the doctoral study opportunities in the field. In particular, information on the Sam Houston State University fully online Doctor of Education in Developmental Education Administration program will be offered. This program is accessible to any and all interested professionals in the field of developmental education and learning support. Participants will be offered time for discussion/questions on any of the topics – research, trends, and doctoral study. Questions will be posed to participants regarding research and graduate study in order to stimulate discussion.
