During the summer of 2021, as part of the THECB’s Open Educational Resources Course Development and Implementation Grant Program, NCTC began developing a new course template for Technical and Business Writing (ENGL 2311). The template uses an OER textbook as its principle educational resource, is CC-BY licensed, and includes support materials that allow for easy adoption by new or adjunct instructors. Learn about one instructor’s ongoing experiences developing a CC-BY licensed course that effectively uses an OER as its principle resource, and discuss the future of OER in the online and in-person classroom.
