How can faculty bring the “world of work” to their classroom assessments to assist students in understanding and demonstrating the middle skills that area employers want? This session presents the need for students to be aware, connect with, and demonstrate their marketable skills, provides the process Dallas College faculty engaged with to create a skills inventory for use in Core assessments, and addresses the challenges in maintaining the conditions for students to articulate their skills.
