About the Presenter

Mrs. Wallace became the Dean of the Early College 2019-2020 school year and has been an SGP Warrior Administrator since 2009. She graduated from Texas Tech in 1987 majoring in English and Reading. She taught 6th grade ELA in West Texas for 9 years before moving to high school to teach AP English III and IV. She and her family moved to Fort Worth in 2001 where she taught middle school ELA again. While working on her Master’s degree at TCU she was introduced to The Flippen Group’s Capturing Kids’ Hearts program and soon began teaching Teen Leadership classes. “Some of my best memories with kids are from teaching that class. I’ll never ever forget those kids and the amazing potential that program allowed them to recognize in themselves.” After completing her Master’s in 2004 she became a counselor at the high school while continuing to lead the Teen Leadership program. Mrs. Wallace strongly believes in the philosophy that all students want to succeed and accomplish great things, and that through meaningful and appropriate relationships with adults who establish boundaries and show unconditional love and support, their dreams CAN be achieved. Mrs. Wallace has been married to Mike Wallace for 38 years and they have two children: Cristi and Chris. Cristi and her husband own J&B Coffee near Texas Tech and Cristi works in the medical field in Lubbock, Texas. Chris is a Baseball/Football coach in Forney, Texas. Mrs. Wallace has 2 grandchildren.
