Timothy Cedor

About the Presenter

"Timothy Cedor has spent sixteen years working with students in K-12 and community college to enhance their written communication skills so they can find the success they want in their educational and professional lives. He is currently an English faculty member with Dallas College where he teaches developmental writing, English 1301, English 1302, and British Literature. His K-12 experience includes seven years with Dallas ISD where he taught 6th-8th grade language arts classes ranging from sheltered instruction through pre-AP while serving as department chair. He also spent five years with Richardson ISD as an AVID Coordinator recruiting sixth grade students for a middle school AVID program that would set them on a path to improve their study habits and begin focusing on college as a realistic option for their future. Several of his former K-12 students have taken at least one of his college English classes. In June of 2021, he had the pleasure of being in attendance while several of his former middle school AVID students crossed the Dallas College graduation stage receiving an associate degree just weeks after graduating from high school. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Baylor University in Professional Writing and Communication Studies. He received a Master of Science in Teaching from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, and he is currently working towards an EdD in Educational Leadership at Tarleton State University. "
