Elizabeth Bailey, Ph.D.

About the Presenter

Dr. Beth Bailey currently serves as an online instructor in the College of Innovation and Design at Texas A&M University-Commerce. She earned a BS in Management, MS in Instructional and Performance Technology from Boise State University, and PhD in Applied Training and Technology Development from the University of North Texas. She served as a director of training and instructional design for a couple of large corporations, where she gained vast including the development of SAP training for employees at 30 distribution warehouses, the transformation of onboarding experiences for new employees, the development of a mentoring program for existing employees, and the building of a learner-centered, performance support system. She belongs to several professional organizations, including the American Educational Research Association, the Association for Educational Communications and Technology, the International Society for Performance Improvement, the American Society for Training and Development, and the Society for Technical Communication, where she's a recognized Fellow. Dr. Bailey routinely shares information and knowledge through conference presentations and by working with different association chapters and special interest groups. She's a member of Kappa Delta Pi and Phi Theta Kappa and has served as a faculty advisor to the student-led chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success, Sigma Alpha Pi. She loves teaching adult students online and believes that adults who seek to balance the complexities of life while also supporting themselves and their families deserve more practical, effective, and non-traditional ways to learn.
