Equity and Anti-Racism for Change Agency and Institutional Transformation

This program supports North Texas Community College Consortium member colleges and their efforts to create an anti-racism learning and development series.

Program Overview

Culture change that considers the perspectives, experiences, and interactions of a complex system takes time. While institutional personnel may be subject matter experts in their respective areas, creating strategic and operational support for equity-minded student success in an area fraught with challenges, frustrations, limited perspectives and fear decreases the probability of successful outcomes. This program offers a starting point for institutions to develop subject matter expertise applicable to the various conduits for change across their institutions, and develop their own organizational culture.

This program includes curriculum, materials, action planning, and resources for continued development. Prework will be required for most of the sessions. All sessions are Wednesday afternoons, four hours per session, from 1 – 5 pm. Sessions will be delivered via Zoom. The Equity and Anti-Racism for Change Agency and Institutional Transformation Series employs the Association of American Colleges and Universities’ LEAP Challenge and engages participants in exploration of practices and programs needed to implement equity-minded education.

*NOTE: Institutions are encouraged to assemble a team representing all key functions for participation in the Transformation program. Teams identified by colleges register for the Transformation program (Modules 6-10) as a group, and must complete all modules in order. Teams must complete all Foundations modules before participation in the Transformation program.
