Presented at: 7th Annual Spring Leadership Conference

Guided Pathways to Success, Planning & Development at DCCCD

Session Description

This session provides an overview of guided pathways, including DCCCD’s participation in the Texas Pathways Project and our approach to implementation across seven independently accredited colleges. We will discuss the importance of inclusiveness, transparency, professional development and student-centered decision making. We will present the structure of the Pathways Team including leadership, representation and goals of each taskforce; pathways development, advising, technology and communication. Understanding that communication is key to such an undertaking, we will share our communication plan and media package and how we, as an institution, selected our seven Career Paths and began the process of developing our guided pathway maps, redesigning advising for the student experience, planning for advanced technology and the launch of the GPS websit
