Doris Rousey

About the Presenter

Doris Rousey is the District Director of Strategic Initiatives for Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD). She works on a variety of projects in Dallas County including the Dallas ISD and DCCCD partnership to expand Early College High Schools, Guided Pathways planning and development, Student Experience initiatives, industry partnerships and community engagement. Ms. Rousey holds a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UT Austin and has industry experience as a Systems Engineer with AT&T Bell Labs before becoming an Instructional Design Coordinator and Project Manager for Houston Community College System. She joined Brookhaven College in 2006 as Executive Dean of Mathematics and Sciences and created the office of Educational Partnerships in 2014. As Executive Dean of Educational Partnerships, Ms. Rousey developed partnerships and managed the Brookhaven Early College High School (ECHS), dual credit programs and university transfer articulation before joining the DCCCD Strategic Initiatives team in 2016. Doris Rousey is the recipient of the Third Annual NTCCC Jesse Jones Leadership Award, 2016.
